Maserati’s brand-new luxury SUV, the Grecale, comes standard with Continental CrossContact series tires. According to Continental, the CrossContact LX Sport in the 19-inch size and the CrossContact RX in the 21-inch size have received worldwide original equipment approval. The tire has been designed for excellent handling qualities both on and off the road. The Maserati Grecale has also been given permission to use the EcoContact 6 in the 20-inch dimension. Continental claims that the tire is especially appropriate for the SUV’s hybrid model because it is designed for both energy-efficient and noise-optimized driving.
Vehicles like the Maserati Grecale, which has a high curb weight, excellent performance, and quick acceleration, place a lot of strain on tires. According to Continental, its designers have produced tires with the CrossContact series that allow for both efficient travel and short stopping distances on dry and wet roads. A reinforced sidewall protects against injury, such as from flying stone fragments. As a result, the tires are ideal for driving on flat ground. The improved tread design also guarantees low rolling resistance, and the tread’s regularly distributed sipes reduce rolling noise.
According to Continental, the EcoContact 6’s special rubber compound reduces rolling resistance, friction, and energy absorption when driving. This corresponds to less energy being used by internal combustion engines and more driving range for electric vehicles. Other characteristics of the tire, such as consistent grip on dry and wet surfaces, exceptional cornering stability even at high speeds, and quieter tire rolling, complement its short stopping distances.
These tire lines and sizes are approved for the Maserati Grecale in numerous countries:
