The passenger and light truck tire facility in Aiken County, South Carolina, recently celebrated 25 years of operation, according to Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (Bridgestone). According to Bridgestone, the Aiken Passenger Tire Plant, which opened in 1998 and employs more than 1,700 people, continues to play a significant role in the neighborhood by manufacturing passenger and light truck tires for original equipment manufacturers and retail. According to the business, the Enliten technology stack, which is designed for rolling resistance and wear, can now be produced at one of its global sites, the Aiken Passenger Plant.
