The #34 BMW M4 GT3 of the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW customer racing team won the NLS Speed Trophy, which is given to the vehicle that scores the most points over the whole Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS), according to Yokohama Rubber. One of the two Walkenhorst Motorsport Advan-colored vehicles that competed in this year’s NLS on Yokohama Rubber’s flagship Advan brand racing tires worldwide was the #34 BMW M4 GT3.
In an effort to increase Advan tire sales during the 45th anniversary of the brand, Yokohama Rubber has announced that it will be providing racing tires to teams competing in top-tier motorsports competitions worldwide, including the NLS. The Nürburgring racetrack hosts the NLS, an endurance race series. The nine NLS events this year, which took place from March to October, attracted over 170 cars.
Two cars entered the NLS SP9 Pro class by Walkenhorst Motorsport and were equipped with Advan racing tires from Yokohama Rubber. The #34 BMW M4 GT3 of Walkenhorst Motorsport won five of the nine NLS races to win the title as a whole. Advan tires, the A005 for dry conditions and the A006 for wet conditions were used by the squad in every race. With tires and assistance from Yokohama Rubber, the same team won the 2020 NLS SP9 Pro class championship as well as the Speed Trophy.
